Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French term referring to fine spray. At Kruse Photography we use this term to describe our high-end inkjet prints, using a variety of substrates, and Epson's Ultrachrome K3 inks. The technology provides incredible detail and true, brilliant color. The resolution (DPI or dots per inch) is much higher than earlier technology which results in crisp details with rich, intense colour. Artists and photographers find giclée ideal for their printing needs. Giclée reproductions are the perfect medium for emerging and established artists, allowing you much better control of your artwork. Prints can be ordered singularly as a display piece or as an edition for show and web sales. All prints are produced on archival quality papers and canvas. This gives each piece a similar look and feel to the original work of art.
